A LIFE AFTER LOSS

Chad knows first-hand the lingering pain of losing a loved one to suicide. Chad’s father, Gene, took his own life in 1996. The wound that Chad carried after that tragic event, and the healing he received served as the catalyst to share his personal story and pen The Curse of the Father.

FROM THE AUTHOR:

"The wounds inflicted from suicide have been left open for too long and we’ve ignored the silent cries from those at risk in our communities. The spiritual forces behind suicide won’t back down by just a simple feel-good sermon, poem, and prayer. No, we have to face this epidemic head-on! We have to use unique methods of communicating the power of life that’s found in Christ. We’ve exchanged creativity for comfort. We’ve allowed Hollywood to be the gatekeeper to the dark side of the supernatural. There is a vast audience of Christian readers who are hungry for a story that doesn’t gloss over the reality of our enemy and the battles we fight against them daily. Without giving those dark things a voice, it’s impossible to communicate how brightly the light of truth can shine. We can’t be afraid to peer into that darkness. It’s in that abyss that we can ultimately find the spiritual source of self-destruction, and it’s in that darkness where so many at-risk loved ones find themselves, waiting to be rescued.

A book such as The Curse of the Father asserts that an act as horrific as suicide demands an equally vicious response.”
